=== Introduction ===
Everybody loves to talk about where they come from. Even more so, students love talking to people who are going to visit their town. This travel lesson presents multilingual and multicultural classroom opportunities. The “Let’s take a trip” lesson helps students produce travel information in the form of a flyer or brochure. In addition, it helps the students use the grammar structures around a very specific topic, such as traveling and accommodations.<ref name=missing>''Editor's note:'' specification of competences, indicators, contents and resources are missing in the original and have been replaced here based on the content of the session.</ref>

==== Initial Phase ====
{{Plantilla:Icono guía docente Básico|nombre=trabajo en casa}}Have each student bring in an object or a photo to the class that they would like to talk about. Let them know this will be “Travel Show and Tell,” with an emphasis on travel. The object/photo item should be from their home, community or a place they have recently visited.

In class, let students take a few moments to gather their thoughts on what they would like to say about their item. Each student will have 45 seconds to present. Give them some guidance on what they should talk about in that time. Some questions they may address are:
* ¿Where is your item from?
* ¿Do you think people would like to visit where you got that item? ¿Why?

'''Travel Show and Tell!'''

This activity involves some initial planning.

Remind students that “Show and Tell” is a simple public speaking activity used at various levels of education:
# Students bring in a small object or photo that can fit into their bag and is school appropriate.
# Each student with their object/photo, one by one, comes to the front of
the class and talks about that item for at least 45 seconds.
# Participation is voluntary.
# There is no grade given.

==== Intermediate Phase ====
{{Plantilla:Icono guía docente Básico|nombre=trabajo en parejas}}Ask students in pairs to decide on the three places they would go based on what they’ve heard, and why. Have pairs share this information with the class.
<div style="clear:both"></div>
{{Plantilla:Icono guía docente Básico|nombre=trabajo en equipos}}Divide the class into groups of 4 up to 6 members. Each group will need to produce a certain amount of travel information. This information can be presented as a brochure, a PowerPoint presentation, a flyer or other means. Each group will produce several “essentials.” Groups can also produce “extra information” if time allows and students are able.

This task should take a period and half, and some parts can be homework.
