Students will use the common phrases used for buying food and other things.

Session 22, Period 1[editar | editar código]

Initial Phase[editar | editar código]

Ask students if they know how to ask for the price of something. Have them guess some possible answers. Then tell them to look for activity 22.1 in their workbook.

Checkpoint

Do a review of numbers from 0 to 100. Check that student relate the number and how the number is correctly pronounced in English.

Intermediate Phase[editar | editar código]

Students read the information about the question How much... the teacher will give some examples. Students will do part one and two of activity 22.1.

Checkpoint

Explain the chart in the student workbook. Give some time for the students to practice with the expressions before doing activity a.

Encourage student to participate in giving the answers.

Session 22, Period 2[editar | editar código]

Initial Phase[editar | editar código]

Draw some objects on the board so students can ask for their price, in singular or plural form.

Checkpoint

Check the Menu at the Picadilly Café in the student workbook. Review vocabulary related to food as well as prices with the students.

Intermediate Phase[editar | editar código]

In pairs, students work on activity b asking and answering questions.

Students do activity 22.2 individually.

Checkpoint

For activity b. verify that all students are asking and answering questions using the patterns presented along with the picture. For activity 22.2 review singular and plurals to write the words in the correct category.

Session 22, Period 3[editar | editar código]

Initial Phase[editar | editar código]

Ask your students if they remember the class about adjectives. Try asking them a few adjectives. Now tell them that they are going to use adjectives to compare and contrast.

Checkpoint

Ask questions and verify that students recognize vocabulary words used to describe nouns (adjectives).

Intermediate Phase[editar | editar código]

Do activity 22.2 b.

Read the information on activity 22.3 in the student's workbook and do what is asked.

Checkpoint

Verify that students are able to make sentences using Subject + Verb + Complement. For 22.3 review the information with the whole class.

Encourage students to participate in giving the answers. Refer students to the Can Do Statements.
